natural hair, black woman

Ughhhhh, MY HAIR IS ________.

Ugghhhh, my hair is _____. (you fill in the blank). There are many words we use to describe our hair: straight, curly, wavy, breaking, dry, weak, blonde, gray, damaged, kinky, thin, brittle, short, long, frizzy, black, brown, red, unmanageable, shedding or just a hot mess. Which words describe your hair? Your hair tells a story. Depending on your profession/job/hobby will put your hair in one if not more than one of these categories. Life guards are always in the water, salt or chlorinated water, college students don’t have time to do their hair due to classes, studying and meeting deadlines, people with medical issues on medications and just everyday living.

Stress and worry are boogah bears!! Stress can cause your hair to thin. Medications can cause thinning hair, also. Hair care is all about moisturization and nourishment. We have to feed our scalp daily. I nourish my scalp daily with Zydeco Naturals, either through oral supplements like collagen and hyaluronic acid and the hair products, I’ll Be Right Back, Quenche’ moisturizing line, Charctox charcoal shampoo, Hair Shenanigans protein conditioner and Bleaux mint hair mask.

My scalp is stronger now than it has ever been all my life. My stylist is surprised that I have no hair fall when she washes my hair and it is soft and manageable when she is finished. She refers to my hair as a garden. The scalp is the soil and as you know healthy fruit grows when the soil is nourished. The same thing when it comes to your hair. Nourish your scalp with Zydeco Naturals and you will have nice healthy hair just like the seeds you plant in good soil. You do not plant seeds in rocks, its not gonna grow, but if you put the seeds in nourished soil, it will grow.
